Pros and cons of AudioStretch app for iPhone and iPad

AudioStretch app good for

This app is great to learn to play along your favourite song. It can slow down the song without changing the pitch. The speed can be adjusted so one can learn at their own speed. You can also put markers in the song and let it loop within the markers in order to practice a specific part of the song without having to stop and rewind manually. Overall, its a great learning tool to help you play your favourite song!
Simple app that promises certain features that it does as advertised. Isnt it strange that increasing the tempo of a recording in most other apps also raises the pitch. And raising the pitch involves an increase of tempo. I never got that. This app only does what you ask it to. Raising the tempo does just that, only. When increasing the pitch, the tempo stays as it was. There are a bunch of other cool settings. Excellent app! Handy for music makers who want to play around with sound and have control.
The deal maker for me was the ability to slow down to zero. A complex vertical tonal structure can be analyzed with efficacy.
I keep finding myself coming back to this app more and more lately. The more music you have to tweak to your liking, the better. Now, you can use you music files that are in your iCloud. This really got me back into using it again! Recommended! Especially if you like and/ or are familiar with audacity. Think audacity with less special effects.
I use this app all the time and really like it. Well implemented and easy to use.
This app is a must have if you are into transcribing music. I have found no other program – mobile or desktop – that does a better job than AudioStretch of helping musicians decipher the harmonies and melodies of their favorite tracks so intuitively and so effortlessly. I would recommend it to all.

Some bad moments

Surprising that AudioStretch would actually move in the opposite direction of being helpful. For example, under the import options google drive and other useful cloud and app solutions simply arent there when previous versions of this app had them. From a quality point of view, there is no upgrade as the speed change produces audible artifacts and same with pitch change effect. What would be nice to see is support for streaming music like Apple Music or SoundCloud etc., then maybe this app can get a better rate. Work harder developer!
I can Flat or Sharp the Dixie Chicks so they sound better. Love it.
This app has the goods. It is all that and a bag of chips. Ive been an audio file for well over 50 years, and Ive never seen The likes of this app. It is just something else. I can listen to foreign-language songs slowed down, so that I can get the correct pronunciation of words and phrases. Also, I can simply understand what it is theyre saying so much better. Its really helping me in my quest to learn Korean. Also, it is truly amazingto listen to songs made into ballads – its just wonderful & you just have to buy this app to understand what I mean. Listening to my music through this app has made my music library brand-new, especially the ballad tracks, and lush orchestrals. I seldom review an app without being asked to, but this one really merits the effort. I really love it, and I dont even know how to fully use it yet. A hearty thank you to the developers.
Read the other reviews for more details but let me just tell you that the ability to move the music manually is incredible. Buy this app and youll see what I mean in a second. Incredible. I love it.
I have used this for awhile with iOS 8 and it works fine. Im glad I paid my $5. I really like the pricing structure too where you can try the app for free to be sure it does what you need, then pay a little when you are ready to commit.
This app has great potential! The way it keep the pitch at its slowest. Please add other options to get files out besides email (too slow for me). Would love to see either AudioCopy, Audiobus (sender and effect) or even IAA. If you have to make it as an in-app purchase Ill buy! Amazing!
